that's the one i have, but you will need to either:

1: cut the iso plug off (the two small plugs) and connect it to your headunit's harness.

2: buy a ISO to Sony/Pioneer or (other brand) harness (which means you don't have to use the original harness from Sony/Pioneer etc...) and this is the approach i went with. (about $20), no cutting, pretty much cut and play.

cutting off and joining shouldn't be too much of an issue as long as the factory loom doesn't have to be cut. Now I'm willing to give the can connector a miss and hard wire the acc of the ant wire. That just leaves me needing an antenna converter for the moment correct? Once the hu is fitted I'll need a stereo facia as well to suit? I'm thinking either the pioneer with nav most of you have or a more basic clarion dbl din DVD model.

you are right, cutting and joining is not hard at all.

Re: antenna converter, that's what you need, i got the one with no amplifier, and it's working fine for me.

Re: facia for double din; no comment, as i have a single din HU, and no facia.

This is the fascia kit I used with my AVIC F900BT.

Fits nicely, I trimmed the front panel so it fit more flush.

I used this powered aerial adapter too.

I used that power aerial adapter too but now have shocking AM reception where it used to be crystal clear.

I'm thinking I've hooked it up wrong.

Where is the little blue cable supposed to go?

It goes to the antenna power output on your head unit. Should be able to hook it up to any switched 12v source anyway.

    (single din) http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....=STRK:MEWAX:IT

    (double din) http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....=STRK:MEWAX:IT

Thanks to ef9 for showing me these.
