I have some photo's of a mates speakers/tweeters pre, during and post install in another Polo if you want for reference?
Thanks Jon. some pics of the tweeter install would be nice

I got some spacer from ebay for the front door, so i will give it a try when i get a chance, and perhaps take some pics too.

No prob's. Here are the few that I do have. Sorry for the quality!

Stock speaker has 4 rivets which need to be drilled out; mount the spacer checking for clearance on the door card; and away you go. Little bit of stuffing around, but no more than any other new car.

Didn't take any photo's of mine as it's the only thing I let the pro's do (as the speakers were up the top end of 3 figures). Took plenty of the rest though, as that was all done DIY.

Thanks again. Didn't get a chance to fit it this weekend, but will try next weekend.

Use a silastic or silicone product. That way it isn't permanent should you want to remove them for whatever reason. Pretty sure that's how mine were done as well.

Is this the correct adapter for an 06 Polo GTi?
