You have the eclipse or the pioneer that's in the pic?
I've emailed that company to see how they achieved that fit, I'll post their reply up here.

Where are people sourcing their canbus units from??
I've been quoted $450 to install my Pioneer H/U which has just been sitting in its box, mocking me.
I've seen plenty of posts throw around the figure of $150 for an adaptor but can't find any websites that actually sell them for the polo???
JB hifi got me the Connects2 one
It is universal so it can be wired in
Around $180
Oh
Even with the Connects2 one I still need to have the Ignition on
The reason behind buying it was so I could have it on Accessories and it would turn on
Does anyone know about this
If you can only have the unit on when ignition is on, I wouldnt buy it, but I needed it for the speed sensor for my GPS
Whats the story with this CANBUS connector? Is it actually necessary? The reason I ask is that when I had my new stereo put it the guy just spliced into the wires and a canbus was not needed, so why is everyone getting them? Does it affect the sound quality or something?
The only thing different that I can tell is that I now have to have the ignition on to have the radio on which I can live with since I have installed a couple of big amps and you really wouldn't want to run it too long without the engine on.
Also does anyone know if the stock stereo has a separate amp located someone or whether its built into the deck? Apparantly some VAG cars have separate amps as stock. Not sure about the Polo GTI though
APR V2 Tuned, APR Dogbone mount, APR R1 DV, K&N Panel Filter, SEAT Intake, Forge TIP & FSB, Bilstein & H&R, Whiteline RSB, Full Milltek 2.5" exhaust
Does nothing special apart from the radio-stays-on-until-key-removed feature, speed signal for adaptive volume head units, and gives you an accessory switching wire, without having to cut/splice anything. Not a huge deal, but some people prefer to not cut any wires at all especially if it's a new car.
Supposedly there is a vw specifc version of the Connects2 canbus adapter that does the switching on accessories instead of ignition. I'm waiting for my mate to pick up the vw specific one for me since my generic one died under warranty.
Oh really
The guy in the shop told me that is the only one (generic) that I could get
