I've been trying for the last 30 minutes to pry mine off. I've got the right hand side clip off but that's it. Can anyone offer any more specific advice?

Run a flat tip screw driver down behind the clip, along the battery... This will slip the clip out.

My battery went dead over the weekend... Cost from NRMA to come out was $207 installed.

Hahaha, mine lasted 3 years and one week after I bought the car.

The battery in my Polo GTI lasted 4 years and was still ok but if left for a couple of days it would crank a bit slow on the first start and sounded like it wouldn't be too long until it died. The battery in the Beeza was about the same age almost to the day and it died. I rang Battery World at Maroochydore just before Christmas. He quoted me $155.00 fitted for a DIN53L. I asked how much for 2. He said 10 percent off. I said I will be there in 20 minutes.

I have purchased batteries off them for the last 6 years or so and I have been very happy. I have one of their batteries in the Bora as well.

I ended up swallowing my man pride and took it to an auto electrician to fit it. He struggled with it for about 15 minutes and ended up doing it for me for free.

If anyone is looking for a good auto electrician in Canberra I can highly recommend The Battery Terminal in Belco.

Mine just died in the work car park after 4.5 years, so I’ve got RAC who my motor insurance is with (but not roadside assist) coming out to install. Quoted ~$170 to install an extra heavy duty battery, which seems pretty reasonable?
