hey flaps. do you still use the stock spare wheel? if you punctured a front tyre, the spare wouldn't fit over your front brakes. meaning you would have to move the rear wheel to the front, and the put the spare on the back. just wondering since i'm getting a big brake upgrade in the future

Yes I still use the Polo wheel as a spare and while driving to Canberra on the weekend it occurred to me I'd have to do that.

Unless you want "extreme" braking performance then the S3 upgrade is enough as both Timbo and Macca track their's with no problems and can still use the 16' rim.

I have this week off, so I went for a bit of a drive to discover some AWESOME mountain driving through the Atherton Tablelands and up to Port Douglas. If you don't get stuck behind a Grey Nomad, or someone who has no idea where the accelerator pedal is, you will find some of the best 2nd and 3rd gear corners around....

This was taken at the top of the Cardwell Ranges on the way back to Townsville...Not the best photo, but you get an idea of the view.

With a 205/40/17 tyre it should.
