Yeah the polo does sound quite good with the stock exhaust and yeah, very little turbo noises with stock intake, factory airbox set-up and stock DV. A bigger intake can add a little noise and will flow better.
There's no easy way to tell if the car is tuned other than logging it/dyno run and see what boost it's making. Even than, you won't know what tune. I'm not aware of any way of identifying which tune the car may have... a tuner may be able to pull the ecu file which may have thumb prints to ID it. I'm not aware of any Perth based forum members who'd have that software.
