Thread: Polo love and question

  1. #41

Only ever ran a full atmo BOV on the WRX. I don't want that much attention on the pog. The pod filter gives me enough of a whoosh.
Gav, yeah the coolant light came on and then I worked out that every time I flicked the recirc AC on it threw a code. All sorted now though.

On another note. Has anyone used or had experience using the accelerator module from kraftwerks?

Buy a downpipe and tune. Twice the money but will actually make over 60hp more.

There's a great number of things that represent better value than this. Suspension mods come to mind first.

A tune is definitely something I'm looking at.
Has anyone redone(vinyl or paint) the silver trim on the inside of the car. My silver is wearing away in a spot or two and was thinking of just carbon wrapping the whole lot.

    Well what an interesting night. Decided I'd do a quick history check on the pog (yes should've done one before I brought it) and found out its been a repairable right off twice. Here's the report;
    NEVDIS Written off Vehicle Notifcation:
    WA, 07 Feb 2014 - Repairable Write-off
I02A [Impact | Driver front | Heavy panel]
I01A [Impact | Passenger front | Heavy panel]

    WA, 18 Jul 2011, Repairable Write-off
I02A [Impact | Driver front | Heavy panel]
I01A [Impact | Passenger front | Heavy panel]

So it turnes out the whole front of the car is almost new. Which would explain the immaculate rims, the clean engine bay and the respray of the whole car.
What pisses me off is that the guy selling it owned it during the last accident and didn't tell me. I just took his word when he said it's been in no crashes.

Ouch, that sucks. Oh well, as long the chassis is straight, forget and enjoy.

Doesn't necessarily mean there is an issue, if it's been repaired properly.

Chassis is straight and the car steers true, better then some newer cars I've driven. Everything looks good underneath the intercooler is brand new as is the piping. Looks as though everything has been replaced and done professionally. Pretty happy though. Paint job is only 2years old as is most of the front end. Lol.

If it was fiver I'd get one to try but I doubt it's a patch on real tuning.

    15 to 20 % more power.

Stage 1 goes from 150hp past 200hp. The case for the defence rests.
