I was just having a discussion about insurance with a mate, and was curious to know what people pay and who they go through.
I am with TIO(NT Insurer), I am 26, with rating 1 for life, live in a decent suburb, and I pay $520 per year for full comprehensive.

Wtf?? are you sure you didn't mean 32yrs old?
I banged it through the aami quoter (yes they will actually insure me now) and it came out at $2707 for a 22yr old.
22yr old
Nil traffic offences, thefts etc
Not modified (unfortunately)
Anyway I have the Polo and the Golf insured with Shannons for $2300 all up. If I just have the Polo it is around $1890 *i think*.

Im 23 years old with no traffic infringments or claims with a NCB of about 60% and pay $1050 a year with AAMI.

I'd be hoping in 4 years I'm paying less than you. But you do live in NT, that would be a major factor.
21y.o, no insurance history, turbocharged vehicle - $850 per year with AAMI![]()
I was with RACV when I spent the last four and a half years posted in Victoria, and I thought I was on a great wicket with them, but coming up here did drop my premium alot, and I was very surprised when they told me the yearly premium, plus I don't pay any extra for pay by the month. Based on that, I really didn't think that the fact it turbo'd made that much of a difference, but obviously I was wrong.
I have found that my driving history hasn't an effect on any insurance I have had(I have never lost my license for speeding or drink driving, but have lost enough points over the years to have lost my license 3 times). Has anybody else found this?
27 year old, lost my licence (by demerit points) and I live in high risk area. I pay $1,400 through ING.
