hey guys i'm with shannons , $622.00 with being chipped. agreed value of
$21k , mind I have my other car ( mazda 6 and bike ) insured as well.

Sorry to jack this thread, but I'm curious about a couple of things....
I have just about taken on a Golf 6 with metallic paint, reverse sensors and tint (and comfort pack).
If I go through VW insurance (Allianz) it's their SureGold cover (not available to public I believe) - got quoted $981 / $500 excess / no extra per month - that's without any additions, in Heathmont, in a driveway.
I go to AAMI, and it's right down to about $645 with Rating One for life (Allianz only offer it for one claim a year if you pay extra). I'll have a second driver, but don't know if AAMI take that into account, Allianz do.
Also, AAMI offer new for old (2 years, no km limits), Allianz offer 3, no limits.
I've heard some so so things about AAMI (ie no choice of repairer), but surely you can dispute it and get the product you want if you got a dodge repair (i'm sure not everyone cops it).......
Also, agreed value - do you set it at what you paid for the car when you bought it ? Or slightly less due to what you think it might depreciate to?

i would personally go for agreed value , you only get shafted it the car is written off . if it's financed make sure that the insurance can cover the loan amount if it's written off or stolen - worst thing is if you don't have a car and you still owe money.
A Good way to get cheaper insurance is find an insurance broker and get group referral.
I own a business in the automotive field so i get a trade discount.
I'm getting ripped off, but mine was the cheapest I could find! I'm 25 next year so I will shop around next time, should be alot cheaper.
I assume living in the ghetto (Fairfield) is the main reason why![]()
I am with AAMI...
you do have a choice of repairer to a point, as you get to choose one of their repairers...
If you don't like the repairs done to the car, don't sign off on it when the car is handed over, and refuse to accept it...Its that easy. The repairer has an obligation to repair the car to as close to factory finish as possible.

Yeah well I'm happy to live with that - I'm not sure the dealer would drop his price anymore (comi$$ion, anyone ?) and even though Allianz do 3 year old for new and choice of repairer, the fact that AAMI offer commercial signage replacement (I'm about to do my car for the business) - it's almost a no brainer.
I'm curious if any other insurers replace the signwriting or not....anyone know ?
Plus, I can always go to Woods - they've fixed my Barina in the past and offered to fix a dint on the Mazda SP23 I have but i never got the cash together![]()
