    polo gti , forgotten?

has anyone noticed that apr hasnt updated much for the polo gti? ive noticed that the golf gti has now got front and back sway bars , stage III turbo upgrade, quad exhaust system and rsc technology. am i jumping the gun here or has apr forgotten about the polo? is it just that the polo wont benefit from these technologies, or the fact that the polo has enough trouble getting the power to the ground as it is? your thaughts?.......

We have not forgotten about you!

Suspension is taken care of by a host of companies - we can give you 300kw's right now if you wish.

What I would like to see is a widebody conversion to get some more rubber down.

We have been looking into making a legal airbox that works, but finding it hard to fit it in the engine bay & make it cost effective.

If you have any products you think are missing - drop me a line!

Much smaller market to contend with. If they had them Stateside it would be different I would imagine.

sorry guy, i ment no offence was just curious is all. But by all means if this thread can be of any encouragment for any ideas, start posting. from what i can tell (and by no means am i a expert) the polo gti's biggest problem like guy stated is to get the power to the ground.so if anyone has any ideas/plans/links/listings/sketches/ for anything they might want to see on a polo weather it be simple or complex no matter how silly you might think it is send it in!. i know these lil beasts have a tonne of potential if it wernt for a few speed bumps.my personal wish list looks like its allready being sorted/thaught about.maybe sway bars for the polo gti as well, if there not already in the works??.

I'll try to knock up a solidworks model over this/next weekend and chuck the drawings up for feedback... Just need to do some measurements

I have a contact that may be able to reproduce in carbon fibre, but we need to make a mould first from what I am told... Plastic mould would probable be cheaper!!!

Not sure how many $$$ it wold cost thou lol, It would be pretty big

It was done on a mitsu mirage by tacking an evo floorpan to the back of the stock front floorplan and was even complete with a widebody kit... somthing similar would be awsome for a Polo

Most of the possible basic mods are pretty well covered by a host of suppliers and APR is probably the only 1 (in Oz) that had a dedicated test car to do development work on.

The only basic mod really still needing attention is on the intake side.

Going beyond what is available now will need serious and expensive custom fabrication and the question will always be asked to whether it really makes sense to go to that extreme with a Polo.

Induction kit would be awesome. If APR needs a test car I'll put my hand up

Only problem is I'm in Sydney
    Cheers,
