    If you need to keep the centre piece, then maybe you will have to. if you can get under the car, you should have reasonable visibility.

    If you don't need the old one, butcher it!

    What did you guys do with the funnel for the smic? leave it out?

    if you have the one with the holes, graft (glue or something) it onto the back of the new unit. It helps push air to the SMIC (assuming you don't have a FMIC)

    I attached the funnel with 2 holes drilled in it and 2 holes into the bumper recess and used nuts/bolts .. so it's fixed to the bumper now, not to the fog light grill.
