This dosn't necessarily mean its a good thing in turns of insurance. This could push insurance prices higher.
Was showing this to "pologti" we never knew the gti classified as a sports car (came above average compare with some other more expensive cars)

AFAIK in terms of insurance, any 2 door (well...3 door) car is considered a sports car. my first car was a '95 barina city 1.2L 3-door and it was considered a sports car which resulted in me paying a premium over a other 5-door sh*tters on the road. yep, a time-bending 33 flywheel kW "sports car" .

They've got the Megane CC listed as a "sports car." With a whopping 98kW at a massive 1500kg, its about as sporty as a bus...

You bought a car not knowing if it was a sports car? It's a turbo, 3 door hot hatch with red callipers, whilst it's not the best handler compared to most real "sports cars" it does better then most under $40K. What you thought you were buying your average shopping trolley? Pretty obvious to me it's a sports car, sports car doesn't need a massive V12 or italian badge to excite and urge us to drive it fast.
