I've owned a stock black 2010 PoG for nearly two months now. I did spend a fair bit of time browsing the market as a buyer rather than a seller of a car which criteria had to be similar to what you want to sell so thought I'd sharelate to respond, been at Rainbow Serpent for the past 5 days.
Anyway, I was looking at cars in the same class as the PoG and had the broad criteria of my next car needing to have 2.4L engine or smaller, have under 30000km's and had the budget of roughly 20k. This led me to look/drive the Ford XR5, Mazda 3 MPS, some Proton, Mitsubishi Colt Rally Art Edition but the majority of those cars for sale inside of VIC had to many km's or were above my budget.
Worth your while for you to gauge their price on carsales at the time your thinking of selling, because for me the PoG while being my preferred choice due to the build quality was not set in stone to be my next car.
The PoG I now own was listed on carsales for 22k and had only been there for a half day before I saw it and registered my interest (I was checking daily). In the end I paid 21k drive away a week later and felt confident I was getting a good car as I brought from a middle aged lady whom had owned the car since new and just received a company car. She wasn't in a rush to sell and was reluctant on letting her baby go so I felt the price wasn't very negotiable but didn't want someone else to get it. Read 26000km at the time and came with RWC and 9 months reg, extended warranty and also has leather seats which made it the stand out from the crowd.
Being a late model, and with low km's I think what your expecting is reasonable as I was willing to pay it. Give yourself enough time so you don't need to sell it in a hurry and the right buyer will come along, I would suggest you list it for 22k as most people will try haggle and hopefully you get the 21k your looking forGood luck with the sale.
Cheers,
Chris.
