I asked my dealer about 1000 km oil change and he said it's not needed because the engines are pre run in at the factory.

i was told to get a check at 1000km for both our jetta and polo. only took 45min or less so not sure what was done. I think it was just to make sure everything was fine, and they asked if any issues had become apparent ect. Not sure if oil was changed but person i spoke to said just bring it in when ever as long as not to far past the 1000km
