The way i see it, if your getting the much wheel spin, then grip is the problem!
no traction takes HEEAAAPs off a time!

Correct, you could hear the Golf R next to me launching it off the line at crazy revs, as i took off really slowly at 1800rpm with one wheel spinning

You cant compare the two cars, my car is a total different beast. I was chatting to Gavin last night as we went for a spin, and even he was saying the K04 is totally different, not as much torque low down, but when it hits, it hits hard

The best that my Polo has done at Wakefield Park is 1"09.9, though that was in the hands of a mate who is a far better driver than I. 1"11.2 is my PB so far.

Should get some interesting data next month at the Cooma 1000 - 0-100kph, 400m and 1000m standing starts.

The guys at CVWC had the car on the dyno last year sometime just to stress test the work they'd been doing - from memory it was in the low 140kWs but not sure of the dyno type or conditions.

Impressive - that's as quick as Eddy with less power and a diff that he regards as being less track capable than the Salisbury style that he runs now.

Thanks - though in the spirit of fairness that time was set on a perfectly dry day running 215 wide full slicks.
