You will probably find that the 18" wheels have slowed the car down ... all that extra weight for the little engine to deal with !

yeh didn't have a choice in the matter of the car, my oldies decided to get me a car and make me pay them back..not that i'm complaining too much!

yeh i've already wacked some 18's on it and some eibach race springs.

but i suppose i'll have to just save up for a real car
Like ours, you'd be benefiting from some great fuel economy. As I said, another 10 KW & it'd be a great little car.

man, i drove a 1.4 when i was having my car serviced, and although it doesnt have the zippyness of my chipped tdi, i was pleasantly surprised- its no ferrari, but it was THE perfect car for around town- cruised comfortably in traffic, manouverable, and it was very easy to drive around without risk of doing anything illegal (like speeding-not being sarcastic).

i'd suggest not to pay too much attention to 'performance' mods, and instead, spend money on good rubber, sway bars, and suspension. with a lower-powered car, corners are your friend- you just need to acknowledge that and mod your car to suit.

    good luck!
