    Ill be there.

But rather than push it as a Dyno Challenge, I think we should label it as a return on mod exploration session. No 2 Polos in Brisbane (the tuned ones) are the same these days.

It should be done to show what a combination of mods can deliver. More of a what can be achieved by what ......

My Polo for instance has an APR chip, but every other "power" component is non APR. So is that APR Stg1 for me? Stg2?

We should list power mods individually in the break down.

ie Sharkie, APR ECU, custom FMIC, custom DP, Forger DV, Forge TIP, PD160, K&N, $spent on power mods, kw atw

even pulleys, flywheels, etc should be listed.

I'm interested in what works and what is just a waste of money .....

sharkie while i am with you on it being exploration what do we count to $$as i have spent money on previous exhausts etc that i have now taken off, as well as bit like the apr r1 dv valve but now on a forge unit, so do we just say current mods or total money spent experemiting?

Probably list both ..... what the current setup cost and what you've lost in experimenting as a note at the bottom ..... make for interesting reading.

Yes mate very relevant but not really good for comparison purposes. For example just from looking at you signature I have over 100nm atw more than you with similar mods. Is that true?? Probably not, but every dyno is different so it has to be the same dyno, same operator, same day, same settings etc.

Sorry mate the "challenge/pogs wars" terminology was for a bit of fun so don't read too much into it. I was planning on doing up an information form to give out on the day for participants to list mods and other relevant info. Then I was going to compile it all then post with charts and let the "Tuners" go to town and discuss the findings in the hope of gaining some real incite into our little rockets.

If there's no bog standard GTI available, I have a standard ECU which will drop into the most standard car on the day, subject to the owners permission obviously.

Sounds good! - Good thing is we have the biggest dyno fan Mainline have built in the country - specifically to get consistent air across the front of the cars (a must for RS6's & Cayenne Turbo's with side mount intercoolers).

    New Workshop | Facebook

    Wall Photos | Facebook

We can supply raw, uncorrected data (yes - can't be fudged with correction factors etc & hub dyno cant be influenced by tyre pressures & tie down tension) - A good healthy stock car will be needed, we can flash any car to stock if it has no hardware for comparison anyway).

Need someone to collect all the VCDS logs to go with the results as well.

Once we get settled, we will organise it.

Cost? will work on that, I'm guessing $70 a head - that will cover the wages for the day & we will have to get some food organised.
