    PGTi + REVO

Anyone had their Polo mapped with Revo software?

I want to get it re mapped but not sure if I should do a downpipe first and then the map?

    What do you guys suggest?

If you plan to mod the car, do the mods first and get the software to suit once.

If the DP is the only thing you plan on doing then it won't matter so much.

Just get your mods done first one by one to enjoy the difference in performance each time and then finally top it all off with the software retune to give it an awesome finale
Then and only then, when you start getting bored and need your love with your pogo renewed, then go and get the colour coding and bigger wheels done as well as lowering etc to spice things up again. He He He (Well that's what I've recently done anyway and very much feeling in love with my beloved pogo again).

Only thing with that is if Revo havent written out the Aft 02 sensor then you may get an emission light come on sometime, not sure if Revo have taken care of that, but just bear it in mind. The particular code that i am on about is merely measuring the efficiency of the cat and doesnt mean there is any issue with the engine perforemance.
Check that out with your tuner mate

I have REVO and down pipe done. Revo was my first upgrade. Not a single problem with it. No engine lights / sensor codes etc. This was regularly checked with VAG COM too. No engine warning at all.

Mine is set Boost 7, timing 6, and fuel 6 off my memory.

I would go with REVO first then do others... the amount of difference you feel with a chip is amazing... down pipe will spice up things a bit further.

    Good luck.

I had REVO on mine, together with a custom 3" dump pipe to cat. O2 sensors remained in position, no engine lights. Dynoed around 135Kw ATW a couple of times. Search and you shall find

There are Stages instead of Ver 1 or Ver 2 like APR chip.

No chip is superior than the other... all good.

REVO does seem to manage quite high dyno readings from mine and Timbos one.

Mine had 127.4kw at wheels with REVO and Seat intake alone in summer.
Now with down pipe / exhaust / (hopefully filter soon) and ECS clutch kit, I am hoping to hit 140+ kw wheels.

Stage 2, will need exhaust / 4 bar Fuel pressure regulator / Intake -> which will release 195kw at flywheel.

I am trying to get a quote from my REVO dealer at the moment, but I think it will be costly...
