For those of you who have this installed, can you make a comment on the induction noise?

Im wanting a stronger spooling and induction noise, will this get me it?

I already have the K&N panel filter installed.

    Cheers!

What other mods do you have?

I don't think it would make much difference on stock (looking at the change in airflow), but with the chip it provides more airflow, which would provide more noise.

Main change is smoother and faster spool, not peak power. I think if you have chipped GTI, I'd be getting this to match your panel filter.

If you want noise, I'd go for the forge splitter (I've got 1 on order from Rennenhaus). or the diverter (APR, Forge or some other brand (turbosmart?)

If noise is your priority, I think the pod is the way to go. Few DIY jobs done, all of them comment on the extra noise.

Okay guys, I've managed to order an extra 2 sets in total in case anyone would like one. Shplitt has already enquired and may take one so there's one more left. At this stage I'm not planning on bringing anymore in unless there is demand.

    Forge TIP

I've read a few good things about the Forge TIP to work with the Seat Air Intake, but wanted to know if anyone has installed this part (TIP) as a stand alone mod after the Seat inlet and can feel any difference?

Had mine installed after the SEAT intake and BMC air filter but didn't really feel much of a difference. From what others have said in the past, it dosn't collapse as easily as the factory one as its thicker and possibly allows more air in? Other may suggest differently though as its a highly subjective thing.

Hi guys, the intakes have arrived and have been despatched for those who had ordered and paid. I still have one set remaining and will no longer be supplying these intake kits after this last one is sold. Pricing is the same for this last one as mention in the past. PM me interested.

Thanks Dave, arrived and went in yesterday.

Coupled with the BMC filter, this is a great addition to the Chip.

    Couple of points:
    - took the awkward torque lump at 2.5 - 3 k rpm out and has more torque lower. This is fine most gears, but makes driving in wet somewhat nervous and 1st gear wasn't much fun (conservative or wheelspin).
    - high end power feels extended.
    - Less snap back when lifting off throttle.
    - Turbo spool starts earlier
    - sounds a little meaner

As others have mentioned, it does not affect peak power, but if all you wanted was peak power results, you've have bought a skyline or supra

I found the APR V2 tune to be fun, but a little erratic. The improved intake air delivery make it all feel natural again.

Anyone with an interest in the intake should snap up the last one (and maybe a BMC filter at the same time), does not sound like there are going to be many more around in a hurry...

    Thanks for your help Dave.

Cheers mate. I'm glad you're happy with the outcome. Anybody who is intersted in the last one please PM me. So far I've got 2 PM's for it but waiting for a reply from them. So if they fall through and you're interested, then its yours. Won't be brining anymore in due to the unfortunate recent price rise from SEAT price restructuring that I was unaware of for the last order and I got slugged for it.
