last week , i helped out on a mate's car with standard HU hooked up to a 4 channel amp...
as said before, all you need is a line converter and wire it to the back of the headunit where your normal factory cables were...Theres no sub output, so you'll have to just use the same line for the front and sub.
does the mk5 gti golf 6 stack head unit come with rca outs? ive got a factory external stacker so im assuming that'd be an rca in set? i wanna run an amp for front splits and sub..
Has anyone connected a sub to the standard unit? ...if so, any feedback?
Hi,
In Malaysia, there's some continental cars install some kind of converter to the existing hu. This I think allows you to run multi amps configuration say running full active setup on drivers & and monoblock on sub.
Anyway, do you know which company supply our stock speakers? I found them pretty good except sound separation and staging.
Speakers - Phillips Europe.
You're in need of a hi/low inverter which allows the RCA's to connect to your amp. Previously did it when I was only running a 2 channel Audison SRx2, powering a Hertz ES250. Personally suggest you go the extra yard and get a decent HU installed for more audio enjoyment.

You're right Calestine! But then I might be wrong on multi-amps thing. Still there's another option: use after-market HU. In my old ride, I'm running on old school full copper chassis Alpine 7998R, enough for mid level ICE
