Apparently this is a heat guard, and can be bent, which i will do tomorow.
Hi guys, had a question for you all.
I got my TIP installed (by a mechanic), and back of the engine between the firewall, there is a thin piece of metal that runs all along the back. The sharp corner end of it seems to be rubbing against the TIP. I am guessing over time with movement, this could potentially damage the TIP and create a leak.
Can I bend this metal piece? I don't know why it's there... do others install also seems to be right against it? If you look down using a torque on the back, you should be able to see....
Thanks..

Thanks for confirming that Jmac, I will also let you know how the Forge shifter kit goes, my importer is trying to find out whether modification is required to get it fitted and working.
