I have not been able to find one, but I haven't looked that hard... I dare say Framm do a filter, but I just bought bulk standard ones off ECS for a third of the price shipped than buying at the dealer.

I'm sure I don't pay much more than $15.00 from the dealer. Just ask for their best price. It's worth a try. Unless Jimmy Mac can sell them cheaper.

For the sake of saving a couple of bucks i would rather fit an original filter than one that will eventually leak or be less efficient, its a known fact there is a certain brand that leaks, and the same brand if using a cartridge element breaks up!!!! seen it and a very good German pal of mine owns a shop and seen the same thing. No names for the brand for obvious reasons
Its at the heart of the engine doing a bigger job than people think so better fitting a good one, same goes when choosing oil, save a couple of bucks now and spend heaps later
For $20 i can give you an original filter and a brand new sump plug
    Cheers

At a guess I would say yes. It is the same filter as my Seat. Get one from Jimmy at his price you can't go wrong. As many people on here know I have always run the factory oil filter on all my cars. the Vento has done 440,000+k's on the original motor. My Bora has 190,000k's.

As Jimmy said use good oil and the genuine filter. Your Volkswagen will go forever.
