    Thanks mate, good mini review.

I don't suggest tracking these tyres, they seem to go off / hard from my limited experience and reading. I might try to find some space for my current tyres and a cheap set of rims for future tracking.

I'm prob swinging towards getting a set of Kumho ku31s this week. anyone else got 205/50/16s? (i think Eddy?). I know it makes a difference but what does it feel like in terms of take off, gearing etc..? Anything undesireable/ Anything nice? Dont care how it looks.

First proper drive in the wet with KU31's on the front.
Huge difference in performace and handling
Comparing to used, 2nd hand, worn on the edge tyres, but I do like the Kumho's.
Its awesome to improve an aspect of the car and feel like you need to re-learn how it works.

You would get that feeling with new vs used, 2nd hand, worn on the edge tyres of the same brand/pattern

Just ordered some Bridgetone RE55's I dont think many tyres can match them, then again, they are not really a street tyre

A048 would do the same job, couple of compunds available too.

    Not much street mileage though!

I dont think they have the right size

I was going to go with a Yokohama AD08, but i am planning to have 2 sets of wheels

It was a real pain finding something to fit, I was told to go a 205/40, 205/45 or a 215/40, even a 217 might rub a little, praying it wont

For 175/70R14 fitment, what do people here think of the Michelin XM1 vs the Pirelli Cintuatro P5?
Looking for low roll resistance, comfortable ride, decent wear and grip.

Trackside in Melbourne, 215/40/17 $250 each, normally $450

But they are quite wide for a 215, they look huge, and the guy said they wouldnt fit, when i went to pick them up.
So back to square 1, 16's wont fit, hard to find good tyres in a 205
