Does any one have experience with Odyssey batteries (or similar compact batteries)? I was thinking of replacing the standard one with a PC680 (picture below). I dont know if this battery is suitable for the needs of a Polo. I have no plans to run a system so I dont need anything heavy duty. Here are the specs for the battery:
* 680 cranking amps for 5 seconds
* 595 cranking amps for 10 seconds
* 525 cranking amps for 20 seconds
* Short circuit current over 1800A
* 17Ah
* 25 minute reserve capacity with 25amp load
* CCA - 220 (Is this important?)
* Female brass terminal w/M6 SS bolt
I want to make some more room in the engine bay of the Polo for a CAI. I thought if I get a smaller battery then I can run a CAI to go under the headlight similar to the one in the picture below. I realise that the windscreen washer bottle is in the way but I am quite happy to get a smaller bottle and relocate it elsewhere in the engine bay.

Looking at Neil's setup and asking a few questions, I've also found the Pulse hi-po batteries. PHB400 model is similar spec to the Odyssey and seems to be bout $100 cheaper, I just quickly rang Autobarn and they sell the Pulse for $220.
Just found these:
Pulse PHB400 $205
Odyssey PC680 $315
