Dont bother wasting your money on the Greddy one. Just purchase a ScanGauge II. It does the same thing as the Greddy and plugs directly into your ODBII port. You can also customise several VW specific settings such as Transmission Temp (if you purchase one with the X-Gauge function). The ScanGaugeII's are about $160 from eBay and other outlets, which I'm sure is far cheaper than the Greddy one which I last saw retailing for $320.

Here is a picture of my ScanGaugeII in my car. The LCD display can display 4 functions at a time but the colour doesnt fully match the stock LED's, but they're pretty close.

My handbrake light is the one you can see in the top right of your speedo near the engine light. Is that part of the car or is that part of the gauge you added?

Too much time researching, testing, spent money and knowing several owners of mod shops. Always search for alternatives! The Greddy works but it's far too obvious (from theft) and costly (for doing the same job).

You can also purchase several mounts for the ScanGaugeII's. There's one that mounts on top of your mirror, and several other mounts you can purchase from the net.

I'm working on a custom mount that sits directly in front of the dash cluster. So imagine the Scangauge sitting dead centre under under the 'P Locked' LCD display, but integrated

Nor do I - I thought maybe you had a Polo auto but your sig says 6spd manual & GTI (????).

So what's the go - why do I not have the special Parked symbol?
