Well I'm sorry but adding GTI to your sig because you got GTI suspension ??? what you thought that was the done thing? You put it there so accept the criticism.

The lap timing software I use (RaceChrono) for the track has included an OBD-II feature. It uses data from a Bluetooth OBD-II dongle, http://www.obdkey.com/ This can be used for lots of other applications.

It can record RPM, Throttle position, coolant temps, airflow rates & of course speed. It will graph these along with the GPS speed so for example you can see the RPM for each corner.

What I do is my own freedom and choice. Furthermore, has it not occured to the lot of you people that in my signature it has '1.6L'. When did a 9N3 GTI exist in a 1.6L configuration? Build a bridge and get over it

You're spot on there! The engine does sound very nice, especially with a CAI (ask Jon as he's driven it). It starts to bark as soon as it hits 3500rpm's, and get deeper as it progresses up the rpm's.

Hopefully you got to drive it like you stole it

Is that because you don't want to tell anyone you bought it?

General consensus of loan vehicles are that people behind the wheel of them most likely drive them like they're stolen However, there are some sedate drivers behind the wheels of loan vehicles at times.

Got a greddy one from the net, plug it in and it doesnt work...

    It said ecu communication error...

    Hmm....

And the plug seems not fitting as well... I need to push it with force, and even i pushed it in, it feels a bit lose...

What is going wrong? Did i plug it in at the right place?

There's only one ODB port - its located under the litte undertray: above the pedal.

Its a shame that the Greddy ones doesnt work, but eBay is your friend

The one with the purple plug?

    Hmm...

I tried to plug it in this morning, and i have looked at it again and found that the obd port is rectangular, does it mean the plug can plug in 2 direction?

I will try to plug it in up side down and see how it goes...

Celestine, is urs able to plug in with another direction?

^should have a cover on the plug "OBDII"

and yes like what "celestine" said, scangauge II is awesome, had them when i used to drive the Toyota Echo, so accurate as well, and also tells you how many horsepower/kilowatt your car is producing in real time

best of all, you can use it up to 10 different cars and all the settings will get stored into the scangauge memory.
