    I had a 7.1 on my way to work, I'd expect mid 8's normally. When I'm in traffic, can go over 10 (per 100k from dash reading).

    I work shift work so drive in non peak hour traffic mostly so i can cruise in 5th and i drive off boost if im just to and from work. Gets down to below 7L/100 easily on my commute and some 10L+/100 weekend driving averages out to about 8L/100 so im very happy with my cars efficiency / fun ratio.

    My work drive is peak hour through the harbor tunnel, into Alexandria, so it's pretty stop-start at times.

    I certainly didn't change the valve for fuel reasons, but somehow the waste gate is being controlled in a way creating more power and saving fuel.

    I understand some of the theory, but it's strange to me...

    Since the car is making more power at the same revs/throttle, you are probably using less throttle so you end up using less fuel.

    This is how diesel tuners can advertise that their tuning maps/boxes can make the vehicle use less fuel. Most people with petrol engines use the extra performance so they don't see the efficiency gains.

    I went to Canberra and back and got 5.9 (family 110km/h freeway cruising), which is mental. It's better than a Toyota Prius. The Funny thing is it's better now with the bigger turbo than it was with the stocker.

    Mini Update;

    Eclipse Head unit landed, few other bits on the way before it goes in.

    Bench Test:

    Ipod Control from head unit, comes with mic and bluetooth for hands-free

    Sound quality seems good for on the generic speakers we had lying around.

    What are you going to fill up the other DIN unit with? Gauge pod?
