    Noise when applying brakes

When pumping the brakes at a standstill I noticed a noise which occurs as I press on the brake pedal. It is a high pitched noise a bit like a bird chirping for want of a better word. It only does it as I am increasing the pressure on the pedal - if I am applying constant pressure no noise occurs.

Any ideas what it may be? I was thinking something to do with the brake pads but I am certainly no expert in brake diagnosis. I am going to give the dealer a call tomorrow to get it inspected but wanted to see if anyone else has any ideas of what it may be

Mate why are you pumping brakes at standstill????? the noise is probably your vacuum depleteing from the Servo diaphragm. Sound normal to me

I only noticed today as I applied the brake in the garage - I then started pumping them to work out when it was happening and as I had never heard the noise before I was going to get it checked out.

Thanks for clearing that up anyway!
