    No more drinks.

So I pushed my cup holder in yesterday and now it won't pop out.

Anyone had this issue before/fixed it?

I'm wondering whether I'll need to take the centre console off the dash to get in and see what the deal is.

Thankfully, this is the first thing that's gone wrong with the car, so I'm glad it's only a minor niggle.

seriously man, i hope you get it fixed. mine's been (thankfully) trouble free, but it'll be a sad day when i cant have my trusty can of monster by my side as i blaze up the freeway....

I use the one near the handbrake, fits my coffee flask TIGHT so i can still corner hard without worrying about spillage

I use the ash tray for that. I know you can buy replacement cup holders from Oriental parts (formerly Vaglink). If you cant fix yours maybe do that ...

Mine got stuck. all i did was (cos i had the tools at the time) remove the radio and push hard against the back of the cup holder till it ratcheted its way out. then sprayed some silicon spray on the runners to smooth it out. never had a problem since

IMHO, the dash-mounted cup holder in Polo's was the most over engineered piece of s*&t I had seen in a car... until push-button ignitions became all the rage!!

Hahah, my cup holder jammed and broke approximately 6 hours after driving it brand new out of the dealers. Popped into VW though and they un-jammed it somehow, and told me "ALWAYS press on the lines to push it in/out"
