I reckon it's pretty hard to go past some of the OEM wheel's.

They just clean & simple. They can also be found pretty cheap too.

They're heavy I know, but there strong as hell & can take an absolute beating.

    I've got two favorites.

One are the Bora sport wheel's. They look good on just about anything.

The other is the TT rims

i just think the OEM wheels are TOO plain and simple... to the point of being boring.

on my car they'd just look out of place and 'unfinished', so to speak.

That's where personal preference comes down it I suppose.

You have make your car look the way you want it to.

Rob's GTI has the same paint scheme as your's & I don't reckon it look's unfinished.

    But's that's me.

I'd bang the Bora rim's on. You can't go wrong with silver on silver, plus they're dead set easy to clean & we all know how bad the brake dust is on VW's!

Out of those two, the 5ZR's.

Still prefer the OEM look personally.

ok guys, the specs on the wheels.

    Heidfelds - 17x7, ET+42

    5ZR Copse - 17x7.5, ET+35

for those who didn't know (like myself until 3 minutes ago), the brand is pronounced "Go-zee-gen". ha, looks like a FIVE to me! i always said "five-zai-gen"

I think "go" in the name is referring to the the Japanese number "5".
