I've got Toyo T1R's on mine in 205/45/16... Minimal road noise given the aggressive pattern and now they are worn in are excellent... I don't know about others but mine felt a bit 'skatey' in the wet for the first 500kms or so

Yeh i have the T1R's too, not bad for the price. The only thing that bugs me are the amount of small rocks that get stuck in the tread all the time.

They are fine, but if your budget extends closer to the $1k point, there are better options.

I'm running on them, i prefer them to the conti's, but are on a larger rim.

Cool - Sat is a problem. Philip Island is on. I don't care what people say, I still basically love the V8s even if they ain't what they used to be. Followed them obsessively since 1979. History can't let me drop them. Still, GO THE POLO! I love to see anything with a motor circulate around a track. Next time. Doing anything at Lakeside anytime soon????

Haha Glad I'm not the only one who thought so. Had them on my Type S as well as Proxes 4.

Update on the KU31's on the track (Queensland raceway)
The KU31 isn't a track tyre, no surprises there. Compared to the Conti's, there's more understeer, it's harder to be consistent and doesn't like to trail brake - so braking must be done in a straight line as it otherwise washes wide to understeer. It was difficult to get the nose in to find the apex and was less adjustable on the limit. i.e. couldn't balance the car so well between front and rear with throttle steer. I was consistently 0.9-1sec slower per lap than on worn (30,000km) continentals.

But on the street and at street speeds, they're a pretty good tyre.

Interesting, I found the Ku31's to be better on the track, but I had made a large number of changes other than the tyres and also the tyres were on 17" 7.5 rims, so not really a comparison.

I'd like to try a new set of tyres on the front, Maybe that should be my next spend (car wise).

Where and when did you get them? (as in recently?) I tried a couple of places that slammed them and quoted a MUCH higher price.
