It's the 45v4, which is the ball bearing version. I know it might be a pain to tune, but i figure it should give pretty good power. I would like to see 300hp so the K04 really doesn't cut it. But considering it in perfect cond for $200 i can afford some $ on tuning

Have you got someone lined up to do the software? That'll be a bigger hurdle to overcome.

I haven't got anyone lined up to do the software. Can you suggest someone?
If it is going to be to difficult i probably will go the gt3071r cause i know software is available for the 1.8t, but i'd like to work out what would be cheaper.

That's where your project could fall down. Although Custom-Code do software for the GT series big turbos, I couldn't do a phase 3 down here.

It's not the kind of thing you could buy off the shelf in my opinion. Just too many variables in the mix and too easy to cause an unwanted mechanical failure.

Sorry mate, I don't have any names for you in Australia, let alone Melbourne. That's not that there aren't any.

    You will need:
    Front mount.
    Injectors.
    Custom exhaust manifold
    Custom intake
    Full exhaust

    and a tune...

If you going to go to the effort of doing it all. Why not buy a 2871r or 3071r if you want more power.
