so you want them to do a car with limited appeal - and lots of daring - whats the use if they sell only 100 of those a month worldwide - in fact with the current polo's in south africa alone they sell around 2000+ (at one stage around two years ago that was 3500+ per month) polo's in total if you take every variation - so making this limited appeal model will jeapordise some mind boggling sales figures worldwide
its not worth the research and development and tooling costs it takes for a modern car to try and reinvent the wheel - the conventional stuff sells by the bucketloads merely because the car seems safe and economical and practical and thats what a small car is supposed to be ie boring and basic transport from place A to place B - cars like the EOS or the bluesport roadster are for the guys who want exciting cars - be thankful that theres a semi exciting version like the GTI that allows you to stand out from the kia's and hyundais and daihatsus and all the other variations of small unexciting boring cars out there
besides you cant expect lamborghini and ferrari type styling for the amounts you spend on a polo
