no chance that it's standard equipment? or no chance that you'll buy it now that it is standard equipment?

I think he was agreeing with you in regards to not getting it in manual, cause the DSG is standard now.

    Re New Polo

Had a look at the new Polo while I was in Berlin in October. I even got a brochure in English which was good. The car is a step up from the current model size-wise, just feels a bit roomier/larger. The rear-light treatment a little on the dull side. Very similiar inside to the current car but with an improvement in quality. Unfortunately there was no GTI at that time for me to look at. Here is a pic I took, if it works, I never know how to get one on here!?

    Looking good.

Only consider it if 5dr is an option as many mentioned, but my guess it probably won't, like the current polos.

215s as standard a shy 10 off a 225 profile, just wondering if there is room to go beyond or whether its maxed out with a 215?

and if its priced in the 35k range, im definately out...

I'm not sure who VAG is demographically targeting with this car...

I wonder if they'll put a decent stereo in it this time.

I'm betting they will pitch it around $30,990 plus options

Yep, thanks for clearing up my crummy grammar! The manual is dead. Which is a shame as I like manuals for the fact that I always know exactly what the car is/will be doing. The DSG in manual still does not quite provide that.

There is a dyno day and drag day coming up in Sydney. It would be good to see some Polo's there to see what ours are doing numbers wise compared to what the new Polo is supposedly capable of...

I'm not convinced that this GTI is going to be much of an upgrade when both are modded.

Was hoping for a bigger weight reduction, the little car should be getting lighter, not bigger...

Sign of the times, it's what the majority of customers want.

I was first interested in a Mk6 GTI, but it would be a couple of years before I could afford one (I prefer to buy outright than get a loan) The Mk7 won't be far away by then! Even then, I'm not sure I want to spend over $40k on a car.

I contemplated getting a Mk5 GTI so I didn't have to wait so long, but have decided against it.

Never would have considered a Polo in the past, but this new Polo GTI looks great. If it's slightly bigger than the current Polo, and the price doesn't go up too much from the outgoing model, this could be my next car. The only advantage I see the Golf has is space/room - something I don't need.

DSG, White, 5 doors, with the Audi style LED's please

    Audi A1

    Keeping in the family

It looks like the Audi A1 will be based on the new polo.

I am sure that a sport version of this would have to offer more than the polo gti - all wheel drive?
