Yes, the Polo GTI, Golf GTD, and Golf R were all confirmed at the same time :)

Golf R & GTD will be available around June/July, IIRC

Although, from what I've read, the GTD will be pretty much the same as the current GT TDI

Really? I got the impression it's got more in common with the current GTI?!

Edit: Although I guess that could be just interior and exterior cosmetic similarities with the current GTI... I've not much interest in the GTD to be honest :)

Power/torque figures etc are similar to the GT TDI.

Aesthetic/cosmetic's and mechanicals (XDL) are similar to the mk6 GTI

The wheels appear to still be 5 x 100. Anyone know for sure?

Also, what's with the external wire clips on the front brake callipers? I notice that the new Golf gti has these too ...............
