One of the posters above, Gavin (h100vw) is the man to speak to re tunes. He was a good bloke and VW/Audi Wikipedia before being the local distributor of Custom Code tunes, now he's just that little bit more valuable But yeah, do your research when or if the time comes. I had my polo for a couple of years before tuning it, not sure how I resisted so long. Now I have two

Re the stereo, the factory head unit provides really poor sound. For any upgrade, start with the HU. If going basic, factory speakers are adequate with a high pass filter if running a sub.
