New Polo..... already got stone chips

i just picked up new polo from the dealer on friday last week and not even 2 kms after driving, i had an idiot that sped off a gravel rd and shot a few stones my way. now im left with a nice stone chip on the bonnet ( i think u can see the actual metal) anyone got advice on how to make it look new again?

do i have to get the bonnet sprayed again?
    cheers.

Not sure but all I can suggest at this stage is get a a little bit of touch up paint and fill it up as best as you can to prevent any corrosion. I've got one or two chips too and just need to get some touch up paint.

A good paint guy can apply touch up then rub it back and polish it flat, besides this touch up yourself but wll never be perfect. Cheers

go to a paintshop that u can trust, ask them what they can do, cause i know that we're living in the 21st century now, paint technology is getting much better than it used to be 10yrs ago. so a chip im pretty sure they can do smthing to it

    So true.

To be honest this is one of the worst threads I've read. Stone chips happen to EVERYONE. Yes, you can go and get it touched up, but then you'll just get another stone chip down the track. If you are that worried about it, either leave the car in the garage or get a car bra.

It's a car that gets driven on an open road FFS, it's called general wear and tear.

You can get a touch up kit from VW. includes the paint and protection coat stuff.

Once every three months or so I just go around the car and touch up. If you thin the paint down and do a few thin coats and then polish back with a light cutting compound you can get it looking pretty good. You cant notice mine from a meter or so away.

Stone chips are a fact of life though. As long as there isn't bare metal left to rust they don't matter so much imo.

You could always black vinyl the bonnet. Protection + nice looks
