Good spotting, Chief.
I'll keep a look out.
Hey guys this is the second one now so i thought it be prudent to let you know,1st one was Sharkies Ex polo, which i thought was a one off. Ok 1st Polo presented with lost power and lost boost. i scanned fault codes and luckily it presented open circuit N75 boost controller.Ok found his broken wired thus no control thus waste gate wide open and BAHHHHHHHH flat as 1.8 with low compression flat as.Now fixed the wiring and ran it with conduit with a new N75 posi. One off??? nope. Today i serviced a Pog and during my inspection saw this
Now this under idle will rattle against the crankcase breather clamp and cut the wires, saw it 1st hand!!!. This lucky fellow i re positioned N75 destined to fail guys. Quick check and quick fix DO IT!!!!!!!!. All you need to do is loosen the clamp and turn it!!!
Cheers

Cheers boss, thought i had seen one off, na so start looking guys, look how flat the right wire is. When this breaks you will lose all boost.
This car was stock as,well maintained and very well looked after, put it this way he is on his original brakes at high 50s and i reckon if he will do the 75k mark. Couldnt help but see disaster in a few 1000ks
Cheers

I'll have a look online on Monday morning, and see if VW has released any TPIs on the issue.

Since installing my TIP, my Forge spitter diverter had been hammering on the end of a vacuum hose connection. Had a code come up for the secondary air intake.
After shortening one of the hoses connected to the diverter, no wear.
Its a congested area of the engine bay, by the time you have a strut brace and after-market diverter, plenty of chance for wear around there...
cheers thanx jmac , thankfully mine wasnt in that position. could have changed it when i was fiddleing with the tip??
