    New Bonnet...

Hey Guys...As a few of you have seen my car has the black bonnet and red pin striping...However, as I got a bit of a nose job done to it a couple of days before Christmas, the bonnet is getting replaced.
I am tossing up what I should do, either getting it re sprayed with the black bonnet and stripes, or having it done in the plain silver. I am just in two minds at this stage...What do you think??

Keep it silver ... looks more classy and less racy .....

BTW what are you doing with the old bonnet ? I have a project I'm thinkin about and need a spare bonnet to mess with. Don't really want to buy a new 1 for it.

The current bonnet isn't in the best of conditions. It has been folded about 30 degrees downward on the inside of the left crease on the front. I'll speak to the repairer and see what he is doing with it if you are still interested.

I'd paint it all black, that way you have at least 1 panel that looks good

If you can bring it by (BNE) on your way to the north I'll take it , if it has to be shipped probably not ....

My Polo upgrade program only has about 3 things to go, so if it doesn't happen before its done (or sold) its ok.

I'll see what the old man says...He will be driving the Polo back up to Townsville for me after I fly up. The way it looks atm, its going to have a set of 17in Rims, a Swag, a TIG welder, and Arc welder, a couple of bags and some models. If the bonnet fits in the back will all of that stuff, I dare say you are in luck.
What are you going to do with a dented bonnet anyway if you don't mind me asking??

I want to test fit Peugeot 206GTI air intakes right over the current airbox location.

If it works it should be a really decent feed of cold air from outside the engine bay directly to a customised shielded Pod filter setup.

I tested a pod before and it made glorious noise .... but heatsoak within minutes made it useless. And this was after closely following Kai's method posted here on the forum many moons ago.

So bending a dented bonnet straight enough to test fit will be perfect for positioning and testing the setup.

Sweet as... I'll see what I can do. The bonnest closes now, but with pressure on the upper surface of the radiator top cover. Nothing a set of vice grips won't fix.
