Not aware of the N80. Is this the stock diverter valve? Many of us have upgraded to an aftermarket one to go with the chip.
Hi everyone,
My GTI in the last 3 and a half years I have owned it has had the N80 purge valve replaced twice, once in March 2008 and again in June 2009. Recently the warning light has come up again and a scan has suggested the same problem has re-occurred.
Has anyone else on here had problems with their N80 valve, or do any of the brains here know why it could fail 3 times now? Given the history I think it could be the symptom of a bigger problem. It is a very minor fault, I don't think it really impacts or hurts the car or anything, but good to get your opinions anyway!

Very common amongst VW engines.
Not really sure what would cause this problem, sorry.
