Great grip in the dry ... hasn't rained yet ... so I can't tell you about wet. I would say firmer sidewall than the Contis (but then ... they'd probably need to be) ... and they've got a bit of a protective lip over the edge of the wheel so (hopefully) my wife won't give the rims any further 'rashes'. They're no noisier than the Contis ... probably about the same road noise.

I haven't heard anything bad about the Federals so far, and I'm looking at the 595RS-R's for my next tyres, but I will give Marangoni's a look see(I personally have never heard of them until I read a tread about them a while ago and looked them up). I have have a real thing for semi slick R spec tyres though, and can't find many in the 205/45 R16 other than the 595RS-R. The Toyo T-1R is a great tyre too...

Here's some of the research I did before I bought them:
Review of Aus. success of Marangoni:
http://www.marangonityre.co.uk/News_Item.asp?ID=36
Marangoni's partnership is with Bridgestone, not Pirelli ... see article below:

Marangoni Racing Tyre development:
http://www.tyretrade.ie/tyrenews/tynws261.html
And from the Rimini 'My Special Car Exhibition Show' site; the following extract:
MARANGONI TYRE
Marangoni Tyre is the company in the Trento group of the same name, that makes tyres for cars, SUVs and light trucks. Marangoni presents its high-performance Zeta Linea and Mythos tyres, aggressive and high-performing, ideal for tuning. Marangoni is also exhibiting the Osella PA 21 with Honda engine and Marangoni Zeta Linea Racing tyres, with which Simone Faggioli won the 2005 European Mountain Championship.
The tread pattern in the pic on page 3 is the Zeta Linea tyre.

Didn't these win a tyre comparison in Wheels or Motor recently ?
I know the F1's won something last year, but faintly remember these from Motor? as well.
At $184 a corner it is quite cheap. Even the Adrenalins are close to $250 a corner.
So you did not decide to competely destroy the contis at Warwick then Dave?

$184 is a good price.
OK ... I've tried them out in the wet now (up the 'goat-track' to Lamington National Park) ... they're easily as good as the Contis in the wet ... felt no slippage or insecurity and braking was no problem. Well pleased.
