I'm trying to stifle any emotions as after all my patience, I'd hate to be disappointed...

Replacement shock arrived today, all looks good.

See if I can get the car booked in tomorrow or early next week for the work.

The replacement shock arrived last week.

The coilovers were due to go on yesterday, but there was an issue with the suspension topmounts, they need to be replaced.

I will hopefully be collecting the car on Thursday and will be very keen to write up a review.

At the time I bought them, the coilovers cost me around $850 landed. Freight takes best part of 3 weeks.

    They go this low

I'm looking for that height on the rear, but keep the front a little higher, so pretty flat all around. The rear is as low as it can go, the front has a lot more travel available (apparently).

I think the colour coded side skirts and bluemotion lip (common in the UK) make it look lower.

    AP Coils are on:

Car feels good so far, have some scrubbing issues, but its early days.

I will do a writeup tomorrow after a raise the front a little and get a wheel alignment done.

That looks hot and I bet the handling is much nicer too. Shame about the import dramas...

It all worked out in the end.

I became increasingly frustrated at the time it took, but in the end, the damaged parts issues were sorted by awesomeGTI without any dramas (just more time).

Now I have to work out how much scrubbing I can put up with...
