im running mobil 1 0w40... i never really notice much of a diff with oils though...

Yes, that oil is suitable for your engine. And NZD 99.00 works out to be about AUD 73.00, which is a good price for 5L of 504/507 oil.

i may be wrong but i think castrol magnetic is a semi synthetic.
but thats normally around the $35 per L mark, wheres as castrol edge 5w/30 is normally $55 (even though i got it at $42 when it was on sale a while back)

Castrol sell a workshop only "Magnatec Professional" range. Some of it is full synthetic. The C4 or C3 possibly even 502.00 approved but i couldn't be bothered looking up the TDS.
