I was filling up today and a guy pulled up in a black 3MPS. You could tell he wanted me to look at his lame 19inch black wheels on his fairly ugly (IMO) car. He was shattered when I looked at him quickly, nodded my head and walked past.

He saw my car so he knew that I'd be interested in cars. Looked pretty cut down that I had no interest in his car lol.

what feels quicker to you. give us some different aspects.... 0-100, 60-100, 80-120 (not necessarily times although that would be great, but what FEELS quicker). that would be a good test (obvious minus any bias) where it is the same driver on the same day and on the same road etc.
Mine isn't chipped but on the private road at work the Polo gives up at 140, the MPS is still pulling hard past 200 or so and has you pushed firmly into the seat.

The MPS breaks traction on the 80-120 runs, but I've never been in a retuned Polo so I can't really give a comment. Looking at retuning the Polo because the insurance company has said it won't affect anything.

    But the MPS3 weighs 1405kg to the Polo's 1190kg.

The "Power to Weight Ratio" of a chipped Polo GTI is pretty much identical to a stock MPS3. As is the "Torque to Weight Ratio".

Stock standard MPS3's seem to run 14.2sec to 14.5sec quarters at around 98-100mph.

Thats about what a Polo GTI with a Reflash / Exhaust / Intake should run.

Kai with just a Reflash did a 14.5 at 96mph.

    With a few other mods that became a 13.9 @ 100mph.

My point that didn't make very well is, I like to compare apples with apples, ie. chipped with chipped. But yes you are right, the PtW and the poor 1st & 2nd gear power of the 3MPS is a good match for a chipped Polo GTI. Anyway I reckon the majority of us buy a Polo GTI for the cornering, not for the straights (well that's why I got one). That's where I reckon a Polo GTI would own.

then later another mps3 chase me down hill and he was on my bumper bar the whole way... i got scared of the scenery view down hill i think lol...
so keep eyes out on the mps forum, i reckon they brag bout it soon lol lil red pogo & mps........

remember the mps chassis are very close of the golf 5 so they're not that bad handling at all... stock to stock they have a much better road holding capability than us, multi link vs torsion bar rear end... but then ur car are lighter lol
