You should log it in 3rd gear really. Give the turbo chance to get loaded up. 180 is pretty respectable, you need to do a run from 1500 revs to the redline ideally. Peak numbers don't cover it.

Hello Just Seeing What Peoples g/s Readings Are And What Would A Custom Code Phase 2 Tune Read Thinking Of Swaping Tunes I Have APR Stage 1 Tune Miltek TBE Seat FMIC Forged TIP PD160 K&N And Read 179.8g/s In 2nd Gear Just Wanna See If Its Worth The Upgraid Thxz.

I'm CC phase 1 with dump+cat, stock cat back, stock DV, stock airbox +filter but with a 3inch feed, ebay spec TIP, stock IC but w waterspray and better air ducting, ported wastegate path in the stock turbo, turbosmart IWG75 wastegate actuator and some pneumatic mods to the boost solenoid to limit peak boost to 19psi. I was getting 189-191g/s at 6Krpm on the 7psi actuator spring in 3rd. Now I'm running a 12psi wastegate spring so top end should be stronger still - certainly felt it but I haven't had a chance to log it and check AFR's. But like Gav said its more about the curve than the peak. Plotting g/s against the 3rd gear rpm range would tell you more about the tunes overall effect on the torque curve - haven't done that either because I'm a bit of an excel graphing moron.
actually mate PM 'noone'. He went from APR stage 1 to CC phase 2 and seemed to be a convert. He was always pretty approachable and would share his experiences for sure.
my bestfriend has a polo gti aswell and we are slowly doing his up and i told him about the custom code tunes and thats what path his gonna take so ill wait awile tell he has finshed then ill take his for adrive at the moment im happy with my car but im always looking for more power lol i beat vyvzvevf ss's lol mazda mps's the other night i raced a 2011 wrx hatch and was pulling away from it i love the wow factor the ppl give me after we race best race was a fg xr6 turbo i was pulling on it 1st and 2nd then missed 3rd and it got half a car in front and couldnt pull away hehehe
mines boosting at around 16psi will it show more g/s in 3rd lol i hit 160kph if i rev out 3rd all the way ill give it a test lated hehe
yeah don't be silly with where you do it or the men in blue will keep your car and maybe even you. If you look at the brisbane dyno day threads, the graphs will generaly show the stage 1 APR tunes boosting less than the CC ones. But you can't read too much into it because they may be making their power with leaner mixtures and more advance - you just don't know. What you can do is keep going with supporting mods. The air in - air cool side of things seems to be handled already but you could start hunting for mufflers, cats, dump pipe flanges and picking a few exhaust guys minds, testing your wastegate to see it isn't cracking low etc so that when its CC2 time you are ready to rock. Louis19 might still be selling his 2.5' dump+cat.

i just a catless 2.5 inch dump and catback exhaust the miltek one and i put on a gfb mbc but set in fully closed cause it has the smaller hole in it so it slows down the air to the wastegate i picked alot of spool time down low i was looking at getting a thermal gasket for the intake manifold that once u stop and turn ur car off that manifold heats up super fast i get 161g/s at 3500rpm in 2nd i still got to test it in 3rd
oh ok so you have a full exhaust system already. So how is your MBC set up. Is it parrallel to the N75 boost solenoid to keep boost down or did you remove the N75 entirely and now run the MBC in line with the wastegate hose in an attempt to get boost up?
