    Be aware there are legality issues with real carbon fiber bonnets on road registered cars...
    Nothing to see here...

    not trying to defend made in china but VW has a car factory there especially for local market, it won't be surprising that chinese factory can build parts for local VW.. and they may have mould for the bonnet.. and don't be surprised if the same bonnet out of a chinese factory get shipped to Germany, relabelled/stickered as something called Stuttgart Daz Fiber and they charge you guys in European prices.

    That side of the story aside, there's also a lot of low quality copy craps out of China - especially the ones scattering around ebay...

    They also build the Polo in china too. I sent them an email about price and shipping for the front grill insert, so I'll see if I get an email back from them.

    Hah! What's NOT made in China these days? As for the quality, you get what you paid for. The iPhone is made in China, and it's got quality to die for - literally!
