Mmm DBA goodness nothing like new parts to cheer me up lol
Well the time has come to do brakes cos my front disks are a little warped and rear pads are low so I've decided to just redo them all and ordered front and rear DBA slotted disk and some bendix euro pads for the front and some TRW for the rears that will be ready in a few days I'll post some pics when I put them on
Next thing I wouldn't mind replacing are the headlights cos they are really scratched up and thrashed and if I ever take a holiday repaire and paint the wheels
Mmm DBA goodness nothing like new parts to cheer me up lol
Front and rear discs and pads done today lucky I did them now looking at the rear pads they were almost on metal
Booo stock rears

Mods: heaps
Didn't see the point of upgrading the rears just being my daily and a street car not something I'll ever track just some good discs and pads will do the job fine and they feel good
Today I gave my headlights a go to clean them up a little rubbed them back and hit them with some clear not the best and as clear as I would like but still a lot better than how they were and seeing as it didn't cost me anything to do I can't complain
I'll leave them for a few days then give them a nice cut and polish and should be sweet for now till I decide to buy brand new ones
Decided to bypass the N249 valve today to see if it made a difference I just pulled the line off the manifold and plugged that into the bov output and just ran a new line from the manifold straight to the bov and it feels a lot better getting 20psi now in 2nd gear just like 3rd cos it was only hitting 17-18psi before so I'm guessing I was losing some boost cos of that and I love how much louder it is haha
But I am getting a bit of turbo flutter when going slow when it's under 5psi but hopefully it's fine
you can either leave the N249 solenoid in place and plugged in (the ECU won't know any different) and all will be good, or strip all that crap out and solder a resiter across the two wires when you cut the solenoids plug off and hide them away in the ignition loom.
Cheers that's good to know think I'll just leave it there plugged in doesn't bother me and is all hidden under the cover anyway im just shocked feels like I gained another 15hp getting some torque steer in second now haha
before I removed mine, I wired in a little LED in parrallel with the solenoid and ran the wires through to the cabin. It was coming on all the time, sometimes hard on or sporadically blinking - basically always bleeding away boost here and there. Some say they can't feel the difference but I'm with you, I definitely could.
My car didn't like me this arvo leaving work haha
