Good news dude. Have you sourced a new MAF? Louis may have an old one laying around to off load.

this shows the two faults i got but i get the feeling the N249 is only showing a fault cos the vacuum line has come off the bov a few times but never had a problem with boost.

i know the maf is my real problem but im getting a little confused
do i buy a complete unit like this or do i just need the new sensor? cos the ones showing just the sensor are 4 times the price

If you need a sensor, as Sean said, I've got my old one available. I replaced it thinking it was the sensor failing but turned out to be a problem with the wiring harness instead.

If you want a brand new one, I'd get a genuine Bosch one. Heard the aftermarket/cheapy ones having issues and not performing as they should.

No problem I can appreciate that.

Heres the one I got, seemed to be the cheapest genuine I could find locally.

    6Q0-820-045.blb

This is a Part number mate.

The MAF begins with 06A. He doesn't know how to interpret the print out is my guess, not pulling your strings. Louis' Ebay link is correct for the part number.

It actually says to the left of that code on the print out it's HVAC and recirc code below that. Nothing on the print out suggests MAF. A MAF issue doesn't surprise me, but what's pointing to the MAF?? What's not to say it also isn't a wiring issue like Louis had?

Hey guy that tuned my car and did the scan who showed me that fault said it was the maf but he has made a mistake that isn't the problem might just be something with the boost might just change some vacuum lines might have a small leak somewhere

If you can make it to chullora tonight (well before the GP starts) we can take some logs of your car.
