I'm guessing this is a better option so they can tune it to what my motor can handle but just wanna know if the price is alright and it's worth paying that much for custom code and if it will be much better than just a normal program?
So have they done many Polo's or will yours be the first?

If you are keen to have one off software. See Parsorex IMO.

Otherwise, if they managed to make more than 5hp over any other tune, you could consider yourself lucky.

Whilst that's the done thing with jap cars, it's rarely if ever done with the VW's (I won't generalise and say the euro's). On my old subaru, I'd never have considered this tuning approach, perhaps the tolerances are lower or more variables in japanese cars, but given the number of VW's getting around tuned and the varying bolt on mods, they are nearly all done without custom tuning or dyno runs. It took a bit for me to feel comfortable with the approach, but is evident that it works and is reliable.

As Gav said, how many polo's have they done? seen the dyno charts? You know what to look for anyway, all I'm suggesting is that euro's seem to take a different approach to japanese tuners with reliability and power proven.

Ok I might pop into peek performance on my way home from work and have a talk with them. I think they will be a bit cheaper maybe around the 900 mark i just wanna make sure it's a half decent program being my daily I want the shop that does it local if I have problems.

Tune, rego and rebuilt of the turbo on my rx7 in one month is gonna hurt my wallet haha

Ok well I talked to the guys at peek performance and they use the revo program and it's 899+gst so just under a grand so after I do rego I'll most likely pop in to get it done and see what all the fuss is about lol was wanting to find one cheaper but couldn't find anyone local that could do it and being my daily I can't afford to take it off the road

I'm not too crazy about doing the tune myself feel safer having a shop do it

I'm a bit bored today so I'm gonna go pick up just a cheap boost gauge I get the feeling I maybe have a small vacuume leak so will put that in and see what it's on. No idea where I'm gonna mount it yet tho but we will see what happens

It's very easy to do mate. The blokes that do it in the shop aren't IT degree holders or anything. The ME7 is unbreakable. There's video on youtube and you can have my number.
