I had asked how much if we bought 10 of these, here is the response:

We can offer you 10 x Cupra spoiler lip for the following:
    price: $74.90 USD (each)

shipping: $535.00 USD (including express service)

    Total: $1284.00 USD

so as a ballpark, for someone to manage the delivery and re-distribution, would mean product to the door for hopefully less than $200 a piece.

I don't have the space to manage this, but hoping Dave or someone might be interested in following this through, assuming there is interest...

Is anyone interested in one of these for that sort of money?

Cheers noone for the offer but a group buy at 10pcs may require import taxes etc and hence would increase the prices not to mention the redistribution costs for postage as anything over 102cm or so (from memory) in length and Ausralia Post won't send it so would mean expensive courier costs (Had a headache with the Forge FMIC's in the past). Only way to go about avoiding such taxes and extra postage costs etc is if goingfast (the shop stated in the link) is happy to ship them off individually to those interested in the this group buy so it completely avoids import taxes and complexities associated with large item group buys. I would be more than happy to organise group buys if items were shorter in length and smaller size though as it eases the headache with sourcing a courier company (believe me they are bloody expensive if you're not a regular customer with negotiated rates).

I am definitely interested at that price.

Are they able to send them off individual to avoid import tax? They would probably charge more for shipping if that was the case.

Well, as I don't have the patience for this work, unless someone wants to volunteer, don't see it happening in a hurry.

The largest issues that have been raised include taxes and freight issues of large products (for redistribution when the shipment arrives).

If we start looking at individual shipments, I don't doubt the price will quickly climb to closer to the $300 mark.

If anyone is interested and has some free time, feel free to message the ebay store and investigate...

I may be interested at that price but I'll have to wait and see as I may not have my Pog for much longer

If you tell the company that the order would be placed as one but the individual items would be shipped directly to each person they may be happy to divide the total cost by however many orders they get, hence bypassing the import duties.
    Cheers,

    John

partially true JCM, but the additional shipping costs might offset any possible 'group-buy' savings.

these things are very bulky and lightweight, so the cost of shipping one is probably svery similar to shipping 3 or 4

Maybe as a compromise, have a batch delivered to one nominated location in each State and owners can collect from there.

This ensures you get a group discount, plus bulking up for a cheaper freight costs, and each consignment still stays under your tax threshold

Have you got a pic of the lip on your S3 Gareth ? Also, did it come as plain black plastic or was it primed ?

If the grp buy is going to add up too much I will get it myself ... exchange rate is good with the UK atm ... well as good as it gets.

note that the centre of mine pouts like a "dummy-spit" . this is caused by two vertical shafts which come on all of them, and they are trimmed to the desired length. most perople trim them off altogether so the lip sits straight/horizontal to the road.

It came in a matte black plastic finish and is not primed, I installed in matte

I e-mailed goingfast.com about a possible 5 unit group buy mid last week to keep costs down, haven't heard anything back yet
